PROPOSED LEGISLATION TO AMEND THE
AGAINST CORRUPTION ACT 1988.
INDEPENDENT COMMISSION
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 90-291, dated 8th November, 1990,
submitted by the Premier, Treasurer, and Minister for
Ethnic Affairs, in relation to this matter including the
preparation of the necessary legislation, subject to:inclusion of a provision distinguishing more
clearly between systemic and personal corruption in
relation to the functions of the Commission.

PROPOSED LEGISLATION FOR LAND ACQUISITION ON JUST TERMS.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 90-240, dated 4th October, 1990,
submitted by the Deputy Premier, Minister for Public
Works, and Roads, in relation to this matter, subject
to:the Deputy Premier reporting the Bill back to
Cabinet; and
an exposure draft Bill being released as soon as
possible after Cabinet consideration. The Bill is
not to be introduced or tabled in Parliament.
The Deputy Premier, Minister for Public Works, and Roads
is to take the necessary action to give effect to
Cabinet's decision, including the preparation of the
necessary legislation.

PROPOSED LEGISLATION TO REFORM THE LAW IN RELATION TO
THE AWARD OF DAMAGES FOR PERSONAL INJURY.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 90-232, dated 28th September, 1990,
submitted by the Attorney General, in relation to this
matter.
The Attorney General is to take the necessary action to
give effect to Cabinet's decision, including the
preparation of the necessary legislation.
