PROPOSED APPOINTMENT OF THE SENIOR DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF
PUBLIC PROSECUTIONS.
Approval was given to a recommendation being made to the
Governor-in-Council that Mr. Charles Allan Luland Q.C.,
be appointed as the Senior Deputy Director of Public
Prosecutions, as proposed in Cabinet Minute 90-272,
dated 26th October, 1990, submitted by the Attorney
General in relation to this matter.
The Attorney General is to take the necessary action to
give effect to Cabinet's decision.

JUDICIAL APPOINTMENT.
Cabinet endorsed a proposal by the Attorney General that
Mr. George Richard Rummery, Q.C., be appointed as a
District Court Judge.

give effect to Cabinet's decision.
RELEASE OF PRISONERS WHO HAVE ASSISTED
AUTHORITIES.
Cabinet decided that the interim procedure would be that
the exercise of the prerogative of mercy in
circumstances where a prisoner had assisted authorities
would involve the recommendation of the Attorney-General
to the Governor and the Executive Council.
The Cabinet Office is to prepare a further paper on the
matter for consideration by Cabinet.
