PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF THE COASTAL PROTECTION ACT 1979.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 90-247, dated 9th October, 1990,
submitted by the Minister for Local Government, and
Planning, in relation to this matter, subject to:*
the inclusion of representatives from the
Department of Minerals and Energy, and the State
Pollution Control Commission, on the Coastal
Council of New South Wales; and
consultation between the Minister for Local
Government, and Planning, and the Deputy Premier,
Minister for Public Works, and Roads, on how far
and for what purposes the jurisdiction of the
Coastal Council might extend inland beyond the zone
which has been agreed to under the Coastal Policy.

The Minister for Local Government, and Planning, is to
take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision, including the preparation of the necessary
legislation.

BUSINESS LICENCES BILL 1990.
Approval was given to the provisions of the Business
Licences Bill, 1990, as summarised in Cabinet Minute
90-261, dated 19th October, 1990, submitted by the
Minister for Business and Consumer Affairs, in relation
to this matter.
