AMENDMENT OF THE STAMP DUTIES ACT 1920 RELATING TO
CONCESSIONS, AVOIDANCE SCHEMES, MINIMUM DUTIES AND OTHER
MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 90-211, dated 13th September, 1990,
submitted by the Premier, Treasurer and Minister for
Ethnic Affairs, in relation to this matter, including
the preparation of the necessary legislation, subject
to:*
recommendation 3.1 (ab) being amended to apply to
any unstamped document sought to be relied on as
evidence in legal proceedings.

PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE
LISTENING DEVICES ACT 1984.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 90-218, dated 18th September, 1990,
submitted by the Attorney General, in relation to this
matter, subject to the following proviso in
recommendation 3.1 (c):"where a warrant relates to a number of offenders and
only one is or some are arrested, the warrant is to
continue, subject to the further evidence not being
admissable against those arrested."

The Attorney General is to take the necessary action to
give effect to Cabinet's decision, including the
preparation of the necessary legislation.

Environment, in relation to this matter, was deferred.
