PROPOSED LEGISLATION TO AMEND THE STRATA TITLES ACT TO
FASCILITATE THE STRATA SUBDIVISION OF PART OF A
BUILDING.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 90-217, dated 18th September, 1990,
submitted by the Minister for Tourism, Lands and
Forests, in relation to this matter, subject to:*
•
the Minister for Housing, and the Minister for
Business and Consumer Affairs, being consulted
during the drafting of the legislation, and;
a mechanism being developed to allow for variations
to Management Statements that is acceptable to the
Attorney General.
The Minister for Tourism, Lands and Forests is to take
the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision, including the preparation of the necessary
legislation.
