PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE MEAT INDUSTRY ACT 1978 TO
INCREASE THE MEAT INDUSTRY LEVY.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 90-202, dated 7th September, 1990,
submitted by the Minister for Agriculture and Rural
Affairs, in relation to this matter.

Cabinet also decided that an amendment is to be included
in the Bill permitting future increases by way of
regulation.
The Minister for Agriculture and Rural Affairs is to
take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision, including the preparation of the necessary
legislation.
PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF THE LOCAL COURTS (CIVIL CLAIMS)
ACT TO ESTABLISH A SMALL CLAIMS DIVISION.

Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 90-207, dated 11th September, 1990,
submitted by the Attorney General, in relation to this
matter.
The Attorney General is to take the necessary action to
give effect to Cabinet's decision, including the
preparation of the necessary legislation.
