PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF THE MOTOR VEHICLES TAXATION ACT TO
INCREASE MOTOR VEHICLE TAX.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 90-216, dated 17th September, 1990,
submitted by the Deputy Premier, Minister for Public
Works, and Roads, in relation to this matter.
Cabinet also decided that in future such adjustments
will take place in the Budget.
The Deputy Premier, Minister for Public Works, and Roads
is to take the necessary action to give effect to
Cabinet's decision, including the preparation of the
necessary legislation.

PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE CHIROPRACTIC ACT 1978.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 90-174, dated 23rd August, 1990,
submitted by the Minister for Health, and Arts, in
relation to this matter.
Cabinet also decided that the Minister for Health is to
report back at the Bill stage on the use of the term
"Doctor".

The Minister for Health, and Arts is to take the
necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's decision,
including the preparation of the necessary legislation.
PROPOSED REPEAL OF THE OPTOMETRISTS ACT 1930 AND
ENACTMENT OF A NEW ACT.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 90-183, dated 31st August, 1990,
submitted by the Minister for Health, and Arts, in
relation to this matter.
The Minister for Health, and Arts is to take the
necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's decision,
including the preparation of the necessary legislation.
