AMENDMENTS TO THE NATIONAL PARKS AND WILDLIFE ACT AND
THE CROWN LANDS ACT.
Consideration of Cabinet Minute 90-178, dated 28th
August, 1990, submitted jointly by the Minister for the
Environment, and the Minister for Tourism, and Lands and
Forests, in relation to this matter, was deferred in
order that Ministerial differences be resolved.

PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE LOTTERIES AND ART UNIONS ACT,
1901.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 90-171, dated 21st August, 1990,
submitted by the Chief Secretary, and Minister for Water
Resources, in relation to this matter, subject to:*
clarification that the sweeps and calcuttas must
be for non-profit purposes; and
*
gazettal of decisions as to other prescribed
events.
The Chief Secretary, and Minister for Water Resources is
to take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision, including the preparation of the necessary
legislaton.
