APPOINTMENT OF ASSISTANT OMBUDSMAN.
Consideration of Cabinet Minute 90-185, dated 3rd
September, 1990, submitted by the Premier, Treasurer,
and Minister for Ethnic Affairs, in relation to this
matter was deferred.
•
APPOINTMENT OF CHAIRMAN OF THE POLICE BOARD OF NEW SOUTH
WALES.
Approval was given to a recommendation being made to the
Governor-in-Council that Mr. Barrie Ronald Thorley be
appointed as Chairman and part-time member of the Police
Board of New South Wales, for a term of three years from
15th October, 1990, as proposed in Cabinet Minute
90-184, dated 30th August, 1990, submitted by the
Minister for Police and Emergency Services, in relation
to this matter.
The Minister for Police and Emergency Services, is to
take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision.

PROPOSAL FOR NORTHERN EXTENSION TO WASHPOOL WILDERNESS.
Approval was given to Option 5 of the recommendations
contained in Cabinet Minute 90-187, dated 3rd September,
1990, submitted by the Minister for the Environment in
relation to this matter.
The Minister for the Environment is to take the
necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's decision.
