PROPOSED LEGISLATION TO AMEND THE OMBUDSMAN ACT, 1974
AND THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT, 1989.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 90-168, dated 16th August, 1990,
submitted by the Premier, Treasurer, and Minister for
Ethnic Affairs, in relation to this matter, including
the preparation of the necessary legislation, subject
to
matters in reports pursuant to Section 27
of the Ombudsman Act, 1974 not being included in
the Joint Parliamentary Committee's jurisdiction.

N.S.W. POSITION ON NATIONAL RAIL REFORM INITIATIVES.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 90-163, dated 14th August, 1990,
submitted by the Minister for Transport, in relation to
this matter.
The Minister for Transport is to take the necessary
action to give effect to Cabinet's decision.
