Ministers discussed various issues.
PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE TOTALIZATOR ACT, 1916 AND
TOTALIZATOR (OFF-COURSE BETTING) ACT, 1964.
THE
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 89-367, dated 2nd November, 1989,
submitted by the Minister for Sport and Recreation, and
Racing, in relation to this matter; subject to:*
Recommendation 2(vi) being deleted and replaced
with the amended proposal outlined in the letter
from the Minister for Sport and Recreation, and
Racing of 23rd January, 1990.
The Minister for Sport and Recreation, and Racing is to
take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision, including the preparation of the necessary
legislation.
