PROPOSED LEGISLATION TO AMEND THE ROYAL COMMISSIONS ACT,
1923.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 90-150, dated 4th July, 1990, submitted
by the Premier, Treasurer and Minister for Ethnic
Affairs, in relation to this matter, including the
preparation of the necessary legislation, subject to:*

an amendment removing contempt powers from Royal
Commissioners to the Supreme Court, as per the
Attorney General's advice.

Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 90-153, dated 4th July, 1990, submitted
by the Premier, Treasurer and Minister for Ethnic
Affairs, in relation to this matter, including the
preparation of the necessary legislation.
