Ministers discussed various issues.
PROPOSED LEGISLATION ON ADULT ACCESS TO ADOPTION
INFORMATION.

Agreement was given in principle to the proposals
contained in Cabinet Minute 90-85, dated 10th April,
1990, submitted by the Minister for Family and Community
Services, in relation to this matter, provided that:-

the various concerns expressed, particularly in
regard to the proposed contact veto register,
are resolved.
It was also agreed that a Cabinet sub-committee,
consisting of the Minister for Family and Community
Services (Chairperson), the Minister for Health, and
Arts, and the Attorney General, address implementation
issues and report back to Cabinet in four weeks.
The Minister for Family and Community Services is to
take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision.

APPOINTMENT OF CHAIRPERSON LOCAL LAND BOARDS.
Consideration of Cabinet Minute 90-149, dated 2nd July,
1990, submitted by the Minister for Natural Resources,
in relation to this matter, was deferred.
