PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE VALUATION OF LAND ACT, 1916
TO PROVIDE FOR SEPARATE VALUATIONS FOR LAND IN NEW
SUBDIVISIONS.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 89-204, dated 23rd May, 1989, submitted
by the Minister for Natural Resources in relation to
this matter.
•
The Minister for Natural Resources is to take the
necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's decision,
including the preparation of the necessary legislation.
APPOINTMENT OF CROWN ADVOCAT
Approval was given to a recommendation being made to
the Governor-in-Council that Mr. Bruce Meredith James,
Q.C., be appointed to the position of Crown Advocate,
for a term of seven years commencing on 26th June, 1989,
as proposed in Cabinet Minute 89-211, dated 16th June,
1989, submitted by the Attorney General in relation to
this matter.
The Attorney General is to take the necesssary action to
give effect to Cabinet's decision.
COAL COMPENSATION - FUTURE ARRANGEMENTS.
Consideration of Cabinet Minute 89-214, dated 19th June,
1989, submitted jointly by the Premier, Treasurer, the
Minister for Ethnic Affairs, and the Minister for
Minerals and Energy, in relation to this matter, was
deferred.
