PROPOSED LEGISLATION TO PROVIDE FOR THE MORE EFFECTIVE
MANAGEMENT OF THE TOWING AND SALVAGE INDUSTRY.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 89-167, dated 21st April, 1989, submitted
by the Minister for Transport in relation to this
matter.
The Minister for Transport is to take the necessary
action to give effect to Cabinet's decision, including
the preparation of the necessary legislation.
PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE CONVEYANCING ACT 1919, TO
RATIONALISE THE PROCEDURES FOR BUYING AND SELLING
RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY.
This matter was withdrawn from the Agenda.
3.
PROPOSED APPOINTMENT OF GENERAL MANAGER, MOTOR ACCIDENTS
AUTHORITY.
Cabinet approved of a recommendation being made to the
Governor-in-Council the Mr. John Martin McCurrich be
appointed as General Manager, Motor Accidents Authority
for a period of 4 years, as proposed in Cabinet Minute
89-200, dated 19th May, 1989, submitted by the Attorney
General in relation to this matter.
The Attorney General is to take the necessary action to
give effect to Cabinet's decision, including
arrangements for the necessary medical examination.
