PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO SOCCER FOOTBALL POOLS ACT, 1975.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 89-171, dated 27th April, 1989, submitted
by the Chief Secretary and Minister for Tourism, in
relation to this matter.
The Chief Secretary and Minister for Tourism is to take
the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision, including the preparation of the necessary
legislation.

AMENDMENT • THE MINING ACT 1973 TO ESTABLISH
A GEOLOGICAL AND MINING MUSEUM TRUST.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 89-73 dated 13th March, 1989, submitted
by the Minister for Minerals and Energy, in relation to
this matter, subject to:the Business Plan being reviewed by the Department
of Minerals and Energy in consultation with the
Office of Public Management;
the adoption of the four conditions as recommended
in the Treasury Advice to Cabinet of 29th March,
1989.
the Trust having nine members and not ten; and
maximum terms of office, quorum size, role of the
Governor in appointing on the Minister's
nomination, a maximum number of terms of
appointment, or dates of appointment and expiry,
being in accordance with the provisions relating to
other Museum Trusts.
The Minister for Minerals and Energy is to take the
necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's decision,
including the preparation of the necessary legislation.
