PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF THE FAIR TRADING ACT, 1987,
TO PROHIBIT TRADING STAMP SCHEMES.
Approval was given to the recommendation contained in
Cabinet Minute 89-104, dated 30th March, 1989, submitted
by the Minister for Business and Consumer Affairs, in
relation to this matter.
The Minister for Business and Consumer Affairs is to
take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision, including the preparation of the necessary
legislation.

AMENDMENTS TO THE MINE SUBSIDENCE COMPENSATION
ACT, 1961.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 89-3, dated llth January, 1989, submitted
by the Minister for Minerals and Energy in relation to
this matter, subject to:amendment of recommendation 3.2, to allow for
appeals to the Land and Environment Court;
all costs being met from the Mine Subsidence
Compensation Fund.
The Minister for Minerals and Energy is to take the
necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's decision,
including the preparation of the necessary legislation.
