APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR, STATE POLLUTION CONTROL
COMMISSION.
Cabinet approved of a recommendation being made to the
Governor-in-Council that Mr. Peter Standen he appointed
as Director, State Pollution Control Commission for a
term of five years, as proposed in Cabinet Minute 89-6,
dated 13th January, 1989, submitted by the Minister for
the Environment, in relation to this matter.
The Minister for the Environment is to take the
necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's decision.
8.
PROPOSED RURAL WATER SUPPLY PROGRAM.
Approval was given to the recommendation contained in
Cabinet Minute 89-13, dated 23rd January, 1989,
submitted jointly by the Deputy Premier, Minister for
State Development, and Public Works, and the Minister
for Natural Resources, in relation to this matter.
The Deputy Premier, Minister for State Development, and
Public Works is to take the necessary action to give
effect to Cabinet's decision.
