LIQUOR (AMENDMENT) BILL, 1989 AND COGNATE BILL, 1989.
Approval was given to the provisions of the Liquor
(Amendment) Bill, 1989 and Cognate Bill, as summarised
in Cabinet Minute 89-169, dated 24th April, 1989,
submitted by the Chief Secretary and Minister for
Tourism in relation to this matter.

INDUSTRIAL RELATION ROLE AND FUNCTIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT
OF INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS AND EMPLOYMENT AND THE PUBLIC
EMPLOYMENT INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS AUTHORITY.
Approval was given to the recommendation contained in
Cabinet Minute 89-120, dated 7th April, 1989, submitted
by the Minister for Industrial Relations and Employment,
in relation to this matter.
The Minister for Industrial Relations and Employment is
to take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision.

PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE MOTOR ACCIDENTS ACT, 1988.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 89-163, dated 14th April, 1989, submitted
by the Attorney General in relation to this matter,
including the preparation of the necessary legislation,
subject to:*
resolution of detail with the Premier, Treasurer
and Minister for Ethnic Affairs, the Minister for
Transport, and the Minister for Industrial
Relations and Employment.
The Attorney General is to take the necessary action to
give effect to Cabinet's decision, including the
preparation of the necessary legislation.
