Approval was given to the provisions of the Crimes
(Mental Disorder) Amendment Bill, 1989 and Cognate
Bills, as summarised in Cabinet Minute 89-158, dated
18th April, 1989, submitted by the Attorney General in
relation to this matter, subject to:*
the question of Community Counselling Orders being
addressed with Mental Health Act reforms, taking
into account the practical concerns of Magistrates.
The entire package to come into force at the same
time.
RACING APPEALS TRIBUNAL (AMENDMENT) BILL, 1989 AND
COGANTE BILLS.

Approval was given to the provisions of the Racing
Appeals Tribunal (Amendment) Bill, 1989, and Cognate
Bills, as summarised in Cabinet Minute 89-166, dated
20th April, 1989, submitted by the Minister for Sport,
Recreation and Racing in relation to this matter.
COMMUNITY WELFARE (DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES) AMENDMENT
BILL, 1989.
Approval was given to the provisions of the Community
Welfare (Developmental Diasbilities) Bill, 1989, as
summarised in Cabinet Minute 89-168, dated 21st April,
1989, submitted by the Minister for Family and Community
Services in relation to this matter.
