PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF THE MENTAL HEALTH ACT, 1983.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 88-348, dated 12th October, 1988,
submitted by the Minister for Health, and Arts, in
relation to this matter, subject to:-
•
* the amendment of the Letters Patent to
remove the reference to psychosurgery
from Mr. Justice Slattery's terms of
reference in relation to the Chelmsford
Royal Commission.
The Minister for Health, and Arts is to take the
necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's decision,
including the preparation of the necessary legislation.
NEW SOUTH WALES WATER RESOURCES COUNCIL.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 88-416, dated 29th November, 1988,
submitted by the Minister for Natural Resources, in
relation to this matter.
•
The Minister for Natural Resources is to take the
necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's decision,
including the preparation of the necessary legislation.
PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT, 1919 TO
PRESCRIBE NEW LOAN BORROWING SYSTEM OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT.
Approval was given to the recommendation contained in
Cabinet Minute 88-429, dated 23rd December, 1988,
submitted by the Minister for Local Government, and
Planning, in relation to this matter.
The Minister for Local Government, and Planning, is to
take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision, including the preparation of the necessary
legislation.
