CONFISCATION OF PROCEEDS OF CRIME BILL, 1989.
Approval was given to the provisions of the Confiscation
of Proceeds of Crime Bill, 1989, as summarised in
Cabinet Minute 89-147, dated 17th April, 1989 submitted
by the Attorney General in relation to this matter.

PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF THE PUBLIC HEALTH ACT, 1902, TO
ENABLE SPECIFIC REGULATIONS TO BE MADE INCORPORATING THE
AUSTRALIAN STANDARD ON THE INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE
OF WATER-COOLED AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 89-144, dated 14th April, 1989, submitted
by the Minister for Health, and Arts in relation to this
matter; subject to consultation with:*

the Attorney General on penalties; and
Government Departments, Local Government and all
relevant industry Groups, with a view to phasing in
the proposals.
The Minister for Health, and Arts is to take the
necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's decision,
including the preparation of the necessary legislation.

TRAIN (ROUTE INVESTIGATION) BILL, 1989.
Approval was given to the provision of the Very Fast
Train (Route Investigation) Bill, 1989, as summarised in
Cabinet Minute 89-146, dated 17th April, 1989 submitted
by the Deputy Premier, Minister for State Development,
and Public Works in relation to this matter.
