1989.
Approval was given to the provisions of the Children
(Care and Protection) [School Attendance] Bill, 1989, as
summarised in Cabinet Minute 89-137, dated 13th April,
1989, submitted by the Minister for Family and Community
Services in relation to this matter.

NETWORK REGIONAL UNIVERSITY BILL, 1989.
Approval was given to the provisions of the Network
Regional University Bill, 1989, as summarised in Cabinet
Minute 89-138, dated 13th April, 1989 submitted by the
Minister for Education and Youth Affairs in relation to
this matter.
Cabinet decided that the new institution was to be
called "Charles Sturt University".
