APPOINTMENT OF DEPUTY PRESIDENT OF GUARDIANSHIP BOARD.
Approval was given to a recommendation being made to the
Governor-in-Council that Mr. Nicholas Kevin Francis
O'Neill be appointed as Deputy President of the
Guardianship Board as proposed in Cabinet Minute 89-79,
dated 14th March, 1989, submitted by the Minister for
Family and Community Services, in relation to this
matter.
The Minister for Family and Community Services is to
take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision, including arrangements for the necessary
medical examination.

PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF THE STAMP DUTIES ACT 1920 TO
FACILITATE ADMINISTRATION OF THE ACT, CLOSE AVOIDANCE
LOOPHOLES AND MAKE OTHER AMENDMENTS.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 89-67, dated 8th March, 1989, submitted
by the Premier, Treasurer and Minister for Ethnic
Affairs in relation to this matter, including the
preparation of the necessary legislation.
WASTE DISPOSAL (FURTHER AMENDMENT) BILL, 1989.
Approval was given to the provisions of the Waste
Disposal (Further Amendment) Bill, 1989, as summarised
in Cabinet Minute 89-85, dated 21st March, 1989,
submitted by the Minister for the Environment in
relation to this matter, subject to:*

corporatisation strategy.
MEAT INDUSTRY (AMENDMENT) BILL, 1989.
Approval was given to the provisions of the Meat
Industry (Amendment) Bill, 1989, as summarised in
Cabinet Minute 89-86, dated 15th March, 1989, submitted
by the Minister for Agriculture and Rural Affairs in
relation to this matter.
