PROPOSED AMENDMENTS OF THE PUBLIC HOSPITALS ACT, 1929.
Consideration of Cabinet Minute 88-316, dated 12th
October, 1988, submitted by the Minister for Health, and
Arts, in relation to this matter was deferred.
PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF THE FISHERIES AND OYSTER FARMS ACT
1935 TO INCREASE PENALTIES AND TO EXTEND THE POWER OF
SEIZURE.

Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 89-50, dated 23rd February, 1989,
submitted by the Minister for Agriculture and Rural
Affairs, in relation to this matter.
The Minister for Agriculture and Rural Affairs is to
take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision, including the preparation of the necessary
legislation.
PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF THE STOCK FOODS AND MEDICINES ACT
1940 AND THE PESTICIDES AND ALLIED CHEMICALS ACT 1978 TO
COMPLY WITH THE AGRICULTURE AND VETERINARY CHEMICALS ACT
1988 (COMMONWEALTH).
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 89-22, dated 9th February, 1989,
submitted by the Minister for Agriculture and Rural
Affairs, in relation to this matter.
The Minister for Agriculture and Rural Affairs is to
take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision, including the preparation of the necessary
legislation.
PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF THE TRUSTEE COMPANIES ACT, 1964.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 89-29, dated 10th February, 1989,
submitted by the Attorney General, in relation to this
matter.
The Attorney General is to take the necessary action to
give effect to Cabinet's decision, including the
preparation of the necessary legislation.
