The Attorney General's report was noted.
PROPOSED LEGISLATION TO CONVERT OYSTER LEASES TO THE
TORRENS SYSTEM.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 89-395, dated 10th November, 1989,
submitted by the Minister for Natural Resources, in
relation to this matter.
•
The Minister for Natural Resources is to take the
necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's decision,
including the preparation of the necessary legislation.
PROPOSED APPOINTMENT OF PUBLIC DEFENDERS.
Approval was given to a recommendation being made to the
Governor-in-Council that Mr. Bennett Wayne Ingram, and
Mr. John Peter Booth, he appointed as Public Defenders,
as proposed in Cabinet Minute 89-430, dated 20th
November, 1989, submitted by the Attorney General, in
relation to this matter.
The Attorney General is to take the necessary action to
give effect to Cabinet's decision, including
arrangements for the necessary medical examinations.
