PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE GAMING AND BETTING ACT, 1912.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 88-419, dated 7th December, 1988,
submitted by the Chief Secretary, and Minister for
Tourism, in relation to this matter.
The Chief Secretary, and Minister for Tourism is to take
the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision, including the preparation of the necessary
legislation.
PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE GAMING AND BETTING ACT, 1912.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 88-426, dated 14th December, 1988,
submitted by the Minister for Sport, Recreation and
Racing, in relation to this matter.
The Minister for Sport, Recreation and Racing is to take
the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision, including the preparation of the necessary
legislation.

STATE ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING POLICY - PRISON SITES.
Approval was given to the recommendation contained in
Cabinet Minute 89-1, dated 10th January, 1989, submitted
by the Minister for Local Government, and Planning, in
relation to this matter.
Cabinet also decided that the Department's of Corrective
Services, and Public Works, and the Capital Works
Steering Committee are to monitor the implementation.
The Minister for Local Government, and Planning is to
take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision.
