PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE ANIMAL RESEARCH ACT 1988 TO
PROHIBIT CERTAIN TESTS ON ANIMALS.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 89-20, dated 7th February, 1989,
submitted by the Minister for Local Government, and
Planning, in relation to this matter.
The Minister for Local Government, and Planning is to
take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision, including the preparation of the necessary
legislation.

NATIONAL PARKS AND WILDLIFE (AMENDMENT) BILL 1988.
Approval was given to amendments to the National Parks
and Wildlife (Amendment) Bill, 1988, (currently before
Parliament) as outlined in the recommendation contained
in Cabinet Minute 89-55, dated 27th February, 1989,
submitted by the Minister for the Environment in
relation to this matter.
WASTE DISPOSAL ACT (AMENDMENT) BILL 1989.

Approval was given to the provisions of the Waste
Disposal (Amemdment) Bill, 1989, as summarised in
Cabinet Minute 89-57, dated 27th February, 1989,
submitted by the Minister for the Environment in
relation to this matter.
