PROPOSED LEGISLATION TO AMEND THE INDUSTRIAL ARBITRATION
ACT 1940 TO PROVIDE FOR ENTERPRISE AGREEMENTS AND
ENTERPRISE-FOCUSSED BARGAINING UNITS.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 89-345, dated 13th October, 1989,
submitted by the Minister for Industrial Relations and
Employment, in relation to this matter, subject to:*

the Minister for Industrial Relations and
Employment addressing the case of employers with a
single employee.
The Minister for Industrial Relations and Employment is
to take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision, including the preparation of the necessary
legislation.
MURRAY VALLEY CITRUS MARKETING BILL.

Approval was given to the provisions of the Murray
Valley Citrus Marketing Bill, 1989, as summarised in the
Cabinet Minute 89-352, dated 19th October, 1989,
submitted by the Minister for Agriculture and Rural
Affairs, in relation to this matter.
COMMUNITY WELFARE (AMENDMENT) BILL, 1989.
Approval was given to the provisions of the Community
Welfare (Amendment) Bill, 1989, as summarised in the
Cabinet Minute 89-356, dated 23rd October, 1989,
submitted by the Minister for Family and Community
Services, in relation to this matter.
