PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF PAY-ROLL TAX ACT RELATING TO
EXTENSION OF TAX LIABILITY TO NON CASH WAGES AND
BENEFITS.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 89-307, dated 14th September, 1989,
submitted by the Premier, Treasurer, and Minister for
Ethnic Affairs, in relation to this matter, including
the preparation of the necessary legislation.

PROPOSED AMENDMENT
OFFENCES.
TO THE CRIMES ACT, 1900 - SEXUAL
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 89-291, dated 1st September, 1989,
submitted by the Attorney General, in relation to this
matter.
The Attorney General is to take the necessary action to
give effect to Cabinet's decision, including the
preparation of the necessary legislation.

PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE FACTORIES, SHOPS AND
INDUSTRIES ACT, 1962, TO PROVIDE FOR THE DEREGULATION OF
SUNDAY TRADING AND THE DEREGISTRATION OF SHOPS.
Consideration was given to the proposals contained in
Cabinet Minute 89-305, dated 7th September, 1989,
submitted by the Minister for Industrial Relations and
Employment, in relation to this matter.
Cabinet decided, as follows:*
Recommendation 3.1.1 - not approved.

Recommendation 3.1.2 - approved.
The Minister for Industrial Relations and Employment is
to take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision, including the preparation of the necessary
legislation.
