PROPOSED APPOINTMENT OF MANAGING DIRECTOR, HUNTER WATER
BOARD.
Approval was given to a recommendation being made to the
Governor-in-Council that Mr. Paul Anthony Broad be
appointed as Managing Director of the Hunter Water
Board, for a term of five years, as nroposed in Cabinet
Minute 89-290, dated 1st September, 1989, submitted by
the Minister for the Environment, in relation to this
matter.

The Minister for the Environment is to take the
necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's decision,
including arrangements for the necessary medical
examination.
MINE SUBSIDENCE COMPENSATION (AMENDMENT) BILL, 1989.
Approval was given to the provisions of the Mine
Subsidence Compensation (Amendment) Bill, 1989, as
summarised in Cabinet Minute 89-293, dated 4th
September, 1989, submitted by the Minister for Minerals
and Energy, in relation to this matter.

PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE PUBLIC AUTHORITIES (FINANCIAL
ARRANGEMENTS) ACT, 1987 TO FACILITATE A REVISED METHOD
OF COMPUTER FUNDING AND FUNDING SRA CAPITAL GRANTS.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 89-277, dated 21st August, 1989,
submitted by the Premier, Treasurer, and Minister for
Ethnic Affairs, in relation to this matter, including
the preparation of the necessary legislation.
