PROPOSED CATCHMENT MANAGEMENT LEGISLATION.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 89-275, dated 14th August, 1989,
submitted jointly by the Minister for Agriculture and
Rural Affairs, and the Minister for Natural Resources,
in relation to this matter, subject to:-

the amendments outlined in the letter from the
Minister for Agriculture and Rural Affairs of 30th
August, 1989; and
the Minister obtaining the concurrence of the
Minister who administers the Clean Waters Act,
1970, prior to establishing any trusts in urban
areas.
The Minister for Agriculture and Rural Affairs is to
take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision, including the preparation of the necessary
legislation.

PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE CRIMES ACT, 1900 AND THE
INCLOSED LANDS PROTECTION ACT, 1901.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 89-276, dated 15th August, 1989,
submitted by the Attorney General, in relation to this
matter.
The Attorney General is to take the necessary action to
give effect to Cabinet's decision, including the
preparation of the necessary legislation.
