UPPER PARRAMATTA RIVER CATCHMENT TRUST.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 88-427, dated 16th December, 1988,
submitted by the Minister for Natural Resources, in
relation to this matter, subject to:* the Trust being named The Upper Parramatta
Catchment Flood Mitigation Trust.
The Minister for Natural Resources is to take the
necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's decision.

PROPOSED APPOINTMENT OF PUBLIC DEFENDERS.
Cabinet approved of a recommendation being made to the
Governor-in-Council that Mr. Mark Joseph Ierace and
Mr. Peter Raymond Zahra, be appointed as Public
Defenders, as proposed in Cabinet Minute 89-15, dated
7th February, 1989, submitted by the Attorney General,
in relation to this matter.
The Attorney General is to take the necessary action to
give effect to Cabinet's decision, including
arrangements for the necessary medical examinations.

APPOINTMENT OF CHAIRMAN OF THE STATE DRUG CRIME
COMMISSION.
Cabinet approved of a recommendation being made to the
Governor-in-Council that Mr. Barrie Ronald Thorley,
LL.B., be appointed as Chairperson and Full-time Member
of the State Drug Crime Commission of New South Wales,
for a term commencing on 1st April, 1989, and ending on
2nd December, 1992 (the date on which Mr. Thorley
attains the age of 65 years), as proposed in Cabinet
Minute 89-33, dated 15th February, 1989, submitted by
the Minister for Police and Emergency Services, in
relation to this matter.
The Minister for Police and Emergency Services, is to
take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision, including arrangements for the necessary
medical examination.
