PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE LIQUOR (AMENDMENT) ACT,
1989.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained
in Cabinet Minute 89-255 dated 24th July, 1989,
submitted by the Chief Secretary and Minister for
Tourism in relation to this matter.
•
The Chief Secretary and Minister for Tourism is to
take the necessary action to give effect to
Cabinet's decision, including the preparation of
the necessary legislation.
ENVIRONMENTAL OFFENCES AND PENALTIES BILL, 1989.

Approval was given to the provisions of the
Environmental Offences and Penalties Bill, 1989, as
summarised in Cabinet Minute 89-254 dated 24th
July, 1989, submitted by the Minister for the
Environment in relation to this matter, subject
to:*
Recommendation 2.5 being amended to only
permit restraining orders in anticipation of
reclamation costs.
Cabinet also decided that the Attorney General is
to present a general paper on corporate
responsibility for penalties.
