PROPOSED LEGISLATION TO FORMALISE THE TRANSFER OF THE
TRANSPORT INVESTIGATION BRANCH, STATE RAIL AUTHORITY TO
THE POLICE DEPARTMENT.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 88-428 dated, 20th December, 1988,
submitted by the Minister for Police and Emergency
Services, in relation to this matter, subject to;* the inclusion of conditions proposed by the
Minister for Transport in his letter of 1st
February, 1989.

The Minister for Police and Emergency Services is to
take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision, including the preparation of the necessary
legislation.
PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF THE TRAFFIC ACT TO ALLOW THE
OF INFRINGEMENT NOTICES.
ISSUE
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 89-23, dated 10th February, 1989,
submitted by the Minister for Transport, in relation to
this matter.
The Minister for Transport is to take the necessary
action to give effect to Cabinet's decision, including
the preparation of the necessary legislation.

PROPOSED LEGISLATION TO REFORM NEW SOUTH WALES CREDIT
LAWS.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 88-421, dated 8th December, 1988,
submitted by the Minister for Business and Consumer
Affairs, in relation to this matter, subject to:* the amendments indicated in the letter
from the Minister for Business and
Consumer Affairs of 6th February, 1989.
The Minister for Business and Consumer Affairs is to
take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision, including the preparation of the necessary
legislation.
