FORESTRY (AMENDMENT) BILL, 1989.
Approval was given to the provisions of the Forestry
(Amendment) Bill, 1989, as summarised in Cabinet Minute
89-233, dated 13th July, 1989, submitted by the Minister
for Natural Resources in relation to this matter.

SOUTH CREEK VALLEY, REPORT OF THE AD HOC CABINET
SUB-COMMITTEE.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 89-228, dated 27th June, 1989, submitted
jointly by the Minister for Local Government, and
Planning, and the Minister for Business and Consumer
Affairs, in relation to this matter, with the exception
of Recommendation 3.5, which is to be assessed further
in consultation with the Member for Minchinbury.
Cabinet further decided that:(i) a sub-Committee of the Standing Committee on Urban
Development is to be established to continue the
work on South Creek Valley. The sub-Committee is to
comprise:-

Minister for Local Government, and Planning
(Chairman);
Minister for State Development, and Public Works;
Minister for Housing;
Minister for the Environment;
Minister for Sport, Recreation and Racing;
Minister for Transport;
Minister for Business and Consumer Affairs, and
Minister for Industrial Relations and Employment.
(ii) Recommendation 3.2. is to be considered further by
the sub-Committee.
The Minister for Local Government, and Planning is to
take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision.
