PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE CONVEYANCING ACT 1919,TO
RATIONALISE THE PROCEDURES FOR BUYING AND SELLING
RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 89-199, dated 18th May, 1989, submitted
by the Minister for Natural Resources in relation to
this matter; subject to:the cooling off period being irrevocable unless
purchaser elects to waive, and provides evidence of
independent legal advice (Recommendation 3.1.2);
•
vendor disclosure being expanded including pest
inspection, survey and S.317AE Certificate;
law of options being restored; and
a review 6 months after implementation.
The Minister for Natural Resources is to take the
necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's decision,
including the preparation of the necessary legislation.

CORPORATISATION OF THE STATE LAND INFORMATION COUNCIL.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 89-198, dated 18th May, 1989, submitted
by the Minister for Natural Resources in relation to
this matter.
The Minister for Natural Resources is to take the
necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's decision,
including the preparation of the necessary legislation.
