catalyst, we take great pride in shaping and
mentoring tomorrow’s pioneering companies.
Meet abi!
One of the companies we’ve helped this year has been Andromeda, in charge of building a future
of friendship and, of course, Abi! Abi is a robotic companion designed to bring comfort and joy to
people of all ages. With her charming personality, it provides a new way for people to connect and find
companionship. Abi is ideal for use in elder care facilities, hospitals, and with children who need a little
extra companionship.

the name of Gen Robotics
Barcelona,
Odense,
and
Boston. Their goal is to gather
as many roboticists and new
technologies enthusiasts as
possible, promoting robotics
locally and bringing our
dearest robots closer to our
dear community. And that is exactly what they’re accomplishing!
GR started our in Barcelona, with an incredibly welcoming pilot event. It quickly gained traction, which
allowed its expansion to other countries. As a Novanta company, we’re proud to take part building a
small community of ‘RobotHeads’, as they’re called, and it’s great seeing so much interest, especially
amongst the younger audiences.
We strongly believe it’s important for companies to promote their industry outside their organizations
as it inherently grows the business and the surrounding industry.
