Students will become familiar with all types of cuisines. They will prepare and sample
foods from different cultures and serve dishes according to each country’s customs.
Students will also learn and practice kitchen safety, food safety/sanitation, and kitchen
math.

This course is an extension of the basic cooking skills learned in International Foods,
focusing on advanced cooking techniques and an introduction to the hospitality industry.
Students will prepare foods, including stocks, soups, and sauces, marinades, breads,
pastries, etc. Students will also work to obtain food handler certification.
Prerequisites: 75% or higher in International Foods
