Nia Tero Annual Report 2023 ENGLISH Single pages - Flipbook - Page 77
Nia Tero is a bridge between Indigenous Peoples
and other actors, like philanthropic and conservation
organizations. It has a solid Advisory Council and Board
of Directors of Indigenous leaders from around the
world. The organization listens to these advisers, which
has helped to increase funds for Indigenous communities.
There is usually a disconnect between philanthropy
and Indigenous Peoples’ needs, and I think Nia Tero
understands and tries to reduce that gap. It does that
by responding to what Indigenous Peoples consider
the entry point for their enforcement, empowerment,
and the real revitalization of their ways of life.
