Here at Fundacion Kara Solar, our project
is often perceived as just an electric-boat
story, experimenting with technological
innovation in the rainforest of Amazonia.
With Nia Tero, we found a partner who
was capable of seeing beyond the boats
and helping our project be truly anchored
in Achuar territory and culture. Nia Tero
always supported us when we imagined
that the true potential of Kara Solar was
to have Achuar technicians build and
operate these electric boats under
Achuar leadership.
We shared a common dream, and
it is now working out beautifully.
