PARTNER SPOTLIGHT
Nia Tero is viewed as an agent of
positive change, a partner in our
journey to heal from the enduring
effects of historical trauma. Unlike
previous experiences where organizations often
dictated the path to healing, Nia Tero stands
beside us, offering support and resources without
imposing their own directives. This is paramount,
as Indigenous communities have long endured
paternalistic approaches from well-intentioned
organizations. We possess the knowledge and
capability to heal ourselves; what we need are the
necessary resources, and Nia Tero has played a
pivotal role in this regard.
