When I think about the impact of working with
the Storytelling team at Nia Tero, it goes far beyond
the [Reciprocity] Project itself...Working with the
Reciprocity team and the Storytelling team continues to expose
me to the power and impact film can have on me as an educator...
I highly value what I’ve learned and deeply appreciate what
we co-created. As an educator, I feel better armed to go forth
and continue my work where children in my family and our
community see themselves as belonging in this world and fully
realize their potential.

...Our stories, grounded in the wisdom of our
Ancestors, reverberate through the celestial bodies and
make impacts beyond our limited knowledge. I believe they
help restore balance to our Mother Earth. Let us continue to
tell them together.

Representation and having a seat at the table
as a Native person is more important than ever
right now, because there's so much that can be learned
from our perspectives on life and our traditional knowledge
and place-based knowledge.
