2021 Finances
Despite year two of a pandemic and ongoing
global challenges, in 2021 the vast majority (81%)
of our $25 million annual budget focused on our
program work to uphold a network of placeanchored partnerships to secure Indigenous
guardianship in Amazonia, Pasifika, and Turtle
Island (inclusive of the Boreal Forest region in
northern Canada and the US).
This budget also facilitated our program work to expand recognition and
support for guardianship through our Policy, Storytelling, and Science &
Learning strategies. The remaining 19% supported our management,
administrative, and fundraising capacity.
