Nia Tero - 2021 Annual Report - Spanish - Report - Page 11
We’re taking a regional approach to upholding the ability
of specific Indigenous peoples to protect the high priority
ecological systems that they call home.
climate change, poverty, marginalization, and
injustice proliferate. Thanks to Indigenous
leadership, including elders and youth, the tide
seems to be shifting in important ways. Nia Tero
is in the midst of this movement, working
tirelessly with partners across all sectors of
government, philanthropies, media, civil society,
the private sector, and Indigenous and local
communities to ensure that the rights of
Indigenous peoples are respected, their lands
are secure, and that the benefits of thriving
places uplift the prospects for all of humanity.
Our Annual Report highlights the progress
made in 2021. Thank you for your support and
engagement. Please share with us your
inspirations and your counsel.
