tions in society. We need to tell stories and make them
relevant to the people we work with.
I will have been a successful RR if I can help my staff
and the people we work with to tell their own stories and
start shaping their futures with confidence. My work as a
Resident Representative has given me the opportunity to
share people’s stories and be part of their journeys too.
It has given me the opportunity to learn and be a better
human being – every day. n

the future must be green, inclusive, and resilient and that
if this is not the case, the future will be unsustainable. To
succeed, Rwanda will need more fiscal support, diversification of revenue streams, and strengthening of its
human capital.
To build back better, we will need to tell the UNDP
and development story better. Often, these get hidden in
complex narratives and are difficult to access. Yet, development can only happen when we ignite the conversa-
