Who We Are
We are one of 34 DfE designated English Hubs working across
England to support schools to improve the teaching of early
language and reading. Each hub has been chosen for its track
record in excellent phonics and reading teaching.
We are based at Grazebrook Primary School in Hackney, London. Whilst
our school follows Read Write Inc, our Literacy Specialist team has
knowledge of all systematic synthetic phonics programmes and we
support schools regardless of which SSP programme they use.
To date, New Wave Hub has worked with over 500 schools in our region
to raise reading standards in schools and improve the educational
outcomes for the most disadvantaged children.
We provide funding, guidance and professional development for
colleagues across north-east London and across the east of
England in the following regions:
