Over the last seven years, the
Bertarelli Foundation’s marine
science programme has helped 100
scientists from all over the world
– including many from countries
surrounding the Indian Ocean – to
earn their Batchelor and Masters
degrees or complete their PhDs.
We believe that building local
capacity is crucial to stopping the
decline of the world’s most heavily
exploited ocean. Our local heroes
are leading the way in researching
and protecting their waters.
