Toronto Region
The 416 has always been a hotspot for real estate, the urban lifestyle
and employment opportunities drawing homeowners to the bustling
city streets. But over the past five years the landscape has been
changing, with remote work and rising interest rates driving buyers
away from Toronto proper.
So is owning a home in Toronto still worth the investment? According
to the Toronto Real Estate Board, the answer is clear. Even during
these difficult conditions, the value of a home in the city has gone up
across the board, with the average of all housing types having risen an
incredible $269,483 between 2019 and March of 2024.
