Leadership is one of those things that is often seen as a role or stage in our
development or career. However, leadership, from my perspective, is the
demonstration of our skills, values, behaviours, and attributes. We do not have
to be CEOs to be leaders, but we do have to be passionate about fostering
engagement, critical thinking, acting, being responsible and leading from
the front. At this stage in my career, I recognise that the culmination of my
experiences, engagement, roles, education and observation has led me to
a place where I feel con昀椀dent to lead the organisation I do. With the help,
support and challenge of those I work with internally and externally, I hope I
can continue to develop and hone all of me to continue to be the kind of leader
that creates positive social impact, not just for now but in the future leaders to
come.

This year and last we gave our employees the whole of August o昀昀. It’s a
policy we’ve now got in place as standard. The world is in such 昀氀ux right now,
with half of UK employees experiencing at least one symptom of burnout,
we need radical solutions to rebalance the way we work and live. It’s been
transformative for our business, increasing turnover and sta昀昀 by 50% - and as
you can imagine we always get a lot of applications for our jobs! We also work a
4 day week, but working less means we’re working smarter. Happier, healthier
teams are more productive.
